Omarchy London: the community was already here

A community-run meetup, not an official Omarchy or Omacom Foundation event.

We hosted the first Omarchy London meetup at Wise HQ on 24th Sept 2026, bringing together a community of Omarchy users and the Omarchy-curious.

This was a confluence of opportunity, sheer determination and collaboration ignited by an open call from DHH on August 23, 2026. Set on bringing one to London, our co-founders Tunde and Itunu partnered with Stephen at Wise, who generously provided the venue. A little logistics here, a little PR there and the rest as they say was history.

The evening

The night opened with a welcome video from DHH, creator of Omarchy and a founding patron of the Omacom Foundation. Followed by demos from community members with laptops open and terminals on the big screen, each celebrating their Omarchy creations with a renewed and infectious excitement.

Mehmet Ince — on leading the Omarchy security team: real vulnerabilities discovered and fixed, how patches are propagated upstream and the protocols for responsible disclosure.

Tristan — on malleable software and plaintext-first apps: how Omarchy and AI agents point away from one-size-fits-all tools and towards software you can shape around yourself. Demoed with caldir and renCal.

Gavin Nugent — on the creative suite he is building exclusively for Omarchy. He is aiming for a full production solution which stands on its own without leaning on any legacy incumbents.

Tunde Ogunniyi — on the fix he built for his YOLOCAM setup. With no Linux client available, he got it working on Omarchy anyway.

The evening was concluded with vibrant conversations over drinks, pizza and cookies.

Who was in the room

The room was filled with founders, engineers, designers, and a few people who came purely out of curiosity. Some had been running Omarchy for months, others only recently, and a few had never touched it and came to see what the fuss was about. That was exactly the kind of room we wanted.

Why we hosted it

Privacy and Sovereignty underpin everything we build at Zeroramp. People should be able to use software without their privacy and IP being held hostage. Although most of that work happens at the product layer, a long way from anyone's desktop, an evening like this is a reminder that the same instinct shows up in people who just want to understand and control the machine in front of them, and that there are more of them in London than one might assume.

We pioneered this chapter and have been validated by the audience. The community is already there, they have a voice and we will continue providing the platform for expression.
